The Magic Keyboard is available with Touch ID. This enables quick and easy authentication for secure logins and purchases.
The Magic Keyboard with Touch ID and numeric keypad makes precise typing particularly pleasant and easy. It has an expanded layout, navigation keys for quickly scrolling through documents, and full-size arrow keys that are great for gaming. The numeric keypad is also ideal for spreadsheets and financial applications. It’s wireless and has a rechargeable battery that allows you to use it for about a month or more before needing a charge (1). It automatically pairs with your Mac and is ready to use straight away. And it comes with a woven USB-C to Lightning cable that you can connect to your Mac via a USB-C port for charging and pairing.

(1) Testing was conducted by Apple in March and April 2021 using prototype Magic Keyboards with Touch ID and numeric keypad, firmware and software coupled with prototype 24″ iMac systems with Apple M1 chip. During testing, the battery was completely discharged, while the device was paired with an iMac and used with automated equipment. Battery life depends on device settings, usage, and other factors.
